Description
The story behind program execution at ECI Matriculation Higher Secondary School Koodugal organized a workshop on Sparrow Conservation & Nest Distribution on 06.12.2024 at Dhanalakshmi Higher Secondary School (DHSS), Royapuram, Chennai. Around 14 schools participated in the event and fabricated approximately 700 nest boxes.
One of the participating schools was ECI MHSS. Inspired by the program, Mrs. Sivagami, a teacher from ECI, requested us to conduct a similar workshop on their school campus. Following her request, we organized a workshop on 22.03.2025 at ECI MHSS with 300 students, who fabricated around 225 nest boxes. Koodugal volunteers provided hands-on training to the students, guiding them through the fabrication process. All the nest boxes were distributed to the students on the same day.
Koodugal vision is to expand this initiative by conducting workshops in all other schools that participated in the DHSS program. We are proud to acknowledge ECI MHSS for sparking this momentum and look forward to spreading it across more schools.
