Statement of Action:
Following an introduction by a representative from Ashoka Tree NGO, Koodugal Trust initiated discussions regarding our sparrow conservation project. Leveraging our team’s prior experience in Kanagi Nagar, where one of our members worked on a separate project in 2022, we confirmed the presence of sparrows in the area.

Given Ashoka Tree NGO’s existing connections with local students, we decided to collaborate with them to launch our sparrow conservation project in Kanagi Nagar.

As I embarked on this journey, recognized the fundamental importance of education and health in every human life. Building on this foundation, I initiated awareness programs focused on sparrow conservation. Through these programs, I highlighted the significance of sparrows, the reasons behind their decline, and the measures necessary to revive their populations.

Sharing Insights and Expertise
Throughout my experience with this project, I emphasized the crucial role that sparrows play in maintaining a healthy environment, ultimately supporting human survival. To equip students with practical skills, I provided hands-on training in fabricating their own nest boxes using basic tools.

Guiding Effective Implementation
Our team members offered clear instructions on installing the nest boxes in optimal locations, ensuring their effective use by sparrows. To foster a sense of responsibility and community, we advised students to form groups and monitor the status of the nest boxes, providing updates once sparrows began visiting.

By empowering students with knowledge, skills, and a sense of purpose, we can inspire a new generation of conservationists and create a better future for all.
