Description
The Spark Behind Koodugal Success at DAV School!
It all began on November 16th, 2024, with a passionate call from Mrs. Sangeetha Vijay Kumar, a DAV School, Pallikarnai teacher. Inspired by Koodugal’s conservation efforts, she meticulously reviewed our projects and website.
With permission from the school management, Mrs. Sangeetha Kumar championed the cause, tirelessly following up with us from November
2024 to February 2025 2025. Her dedication was unwavering, addressing every query and concern about the project’s effectiveness among students.
The project’s success was evident in the enthusiastic participation of 300
students, carefully selected based on a survey of sparrows in the Velachery belt. Our team was impressed by the school’s arrangements, which ensured a seamless experience for all.
During the event, we shared insights on the importance of providing space for sparrows. Students then received kits and instructions to build their nests, learning valuable skills like tool handling and eye-hand coordination.
The outcome was heart-warming, every participant took home their handmade nest, eager to install it and provide a place for sparrows.
We extend our gratitude to Mrs. Sangeetha Vijay Kumar for her tireless efforts. The school management, heads of the institution, and Chennai Willingdon Corporate Foundation thank you for your continued support. Our dedicated team for their hard work and commitment.
